DBax and Divorce

So, this is how cool my wife is...

Knowing I like surprises, she told me to keep Friday night free without a hint of what we were going to do. The only thing I got - to her credit - was two clues about two hours before we were heading out. They were:

• There will be air there
• There might be screaming

I was thinking rollercoaster. But there's just not that many rollercoasters in Phoenix. And, I had already done that with her on a mystery date before we were married.

The last clue she gave me right before we left was:

• Downtown

So, I'm not the smartest. I didn't figure out it was the Diamondbacks game until we were a mile away. She's crafty, alright.

We met up with my father-in-law and brother-in-law and grabbed a quick drink/wing before the game. Then went inside. We had probably the best seats I've ever had for a game. It was...well...let's just say I could see John McCain's face (who, by the way, I'm pretty sure was looking at me a good part of the game. I don't know why. It could've been my stylish shirt). And it was a great game! Mr S and Davy ended up sitting in the next section with friends Paul and Cody..and around the 7th inning we went over to join them. I think we had about 4th row, 1st baseline. The DBacks had the Astros until the 8th when Houston...oh, you don't care about that. Suffice it to say, it was probably the most exciting game Kira has ever been to.

It's great people watching at baseball games. And the conversations you here, too..like the guys behind us. Let me give you a sample...

"After my first divorce, I started hittin the bars hard for a couple years. But that was pretty worthless. Then I went to this Singles Dance where I met my third wife. And THAT was a mistake becuase I met my second wife there. I knew the day I married her that I couldn't live with her..."

Kira and I were looking at each other like, "Is this guy serious? Are they trying to make us laugh?" Sadly, they weren't. Crazy.

Well, thanks Kira for a great night! You're the best wife EVER! :) (Oh, and thanks to Mr S for the tix).
